Farmleigh Sun 24th May. B Martin Ref. We were 1-6 to 0-4 in front at the break.

v Annes (QF) | In
Wex Park Sat 12th Sept. Down 1-5 to 0-1 after a bad start but clawed back into
the game with some mighty runs from Kieran Kennedy and a goal by Harry Kehoe from
a 21yd free, and an overhead flick to the net by Ben Traynor resulting in the
sides being level at the break. Both sides exchanged scores evenly throughout
the second half and it looked as if The Annes had done enough when they went two
points up with time up. Harry Kehoe drove at the defence and was fouled around
30 yards out. Noel Carton left the goal to drive a rasper through the crowded
goalmouth and rattle the net. Annes got a chance to level with a free which drifted
wide. The shrill whistle sounded then and Cloughbawn are now in the Co SemiFinal

H Final v Buffers Alley | Pats
Park the venue. Sat 19th Sept. Cloughbawn started brightly and had an early goal
thanks to a well struck 21 yd free by Paul Foley. Further two goals from play
by Barry Carton along with minors from Martin Connick, Denis Murray, Kevin Murphy
and a few pointed frees by Paul Foley gave a decent lead at the break 3-7 to 1-6
but facing a stiff breeze in the 2nd half. On resumption the Alley were soon eating
into our lead and concentrated on goal attempts and netted 3 before they scored
their next and last point. In the meantime Cloughbawn had refused to drop their
heads or their intensty and succeeded in scoring another 3-4 in the 2nd half(Eanna
Harrington, Paul Foley goaled, Foley got points and Martin Kehoe had the game
of his life and was always cleaning up around the middle) to run out 6-10 to 4-7
worthy and deserving winners. Mcl Muldoon, Padraig Neenan, Colin Doyle, D.Doyle
