All present and former members of the Committee are welcome to attend.

Kells Laity Committee was formed in 1980 for the purpose of arranging celebrations to honour the first anniversary of the visit of Pope John Paul to Ireland. It has continued to help in the arrangement of various parish functions. In the early years the Committee were heavily involved on the occasion of Parish Missions. More recently for the Millennium they organised many parish events including the Kells Deanery Mass on the Hill of Loyd on May 21 2000.

We wish to thank all the members of the Laity Committee for the interest in the parish over the past twenty two years and we are glad to see that many members of the former Laity Committee are now active members of the newly organised Parish Committees. With happy memories of many events, we look forward to meeting, once more, past and present members in the Headfort Arms at 8pm on Thursday next May 23.
