This book is about Nicky who had no one to play with, so his sister told him to use his imagination. He imagined a new friend that come through the wall. He named him Fred.

Book Title:
“Sumitra's Story”
Author: Ruksham Smith
This book is about a young girl - Sumitra who's family is forced to leave Uganda and go to England. Sumitra is torn between two lives - an Indian one, where the women work and the men rest and where there are arranged marriages, and an English one - where she can marry who she wants and do what she wants.
Eilis’s favourite characters are Sandya and Maria. Sandya because she is Sumita's sister, always caring and giving advice. And Maria because she is a friend and is always there for Sumitra.

This book is about a handyman who was bitten by a radioactive plumber and became a megahero.
Marion's favourite character is Wane the wonder boy because he is funny in some of the story.

This book is about three people - Eily, Micheal and Peggy. Peggy works in the house and she gets married to James. Micheal works with the horses and the house goes on fire. Eily is a house wife who picks berries for jam to make money.
Jeremy’s favourite character is Micheal because he gets to own two horses.

This book is about a wizard named Ben-Muzzy and his twin friends named Joel and Gemma. They are going to set off on their most dangerous adventures.

“Clare Street”

This book is about a young girl called Kelly who lives with her grandfather, old Mr. Ryan. It tells us about how she met and fell in love with a young boy, Nicholas. It also tells of Kelly's friend Mrs. Kneebone and her tour around Tazmania.
Eilis's favourite character is Kelly because she is the main person the story and she is well able to cope after her mother left her.

This book is about Emma falling into the ice and Sheltie her pony saving her. Sheltie got very sick from the cold water and nearly died. Everybody was sad.

This book is about a woman who is the new dinner lady in the school of a young girl called Jessica. The dinner lady puts the teachers, children and parents under a spell except on parent and with Jessica's help she puts a stop the the dinner lady's spell.
Leah's favourite character in the book is Jamie's Mum because she was a very understanding person and you could picture how nice she was.

“Trouble For Tuffy”

This book is about twins Katie and Ted. One day their Mum goes out and Dad's in charge. The twins decide to play dress-up and Katie dressed up as a princess and Ted dressed up as a Dracula. But then Katie and Ted went into their Mum's room . Woof! said Tuffy the dog, but they would not listen. Katie saw a gold box on the shelf so she got a chair and climbed up to find her Mum's good necklace. Katie took it and put it on, then Ted started to run after Katie and lost the necklace in the garden. But thank goodness Tuffy found it in his doghouse.
Katie's favourite character was Tuffy because he was always trying to keep the twins out of trouble and I like the way he can talk in 'WOOFS'.

This book is about a group of characters who are abducted by aliens. The witch sisters have to travel to Roswell, New Mexico, where they camp out in the desert. An unexpected visitor arrives who has been attacked by rubber balls. These came from the aliens. Suddenly an alien appears and challenges the witches to a quiz. If the Alien wins, they take over the planet. The quiz went to sudden death. Grimly had to continue answering the questions as Hattie fell asleep. Unfortunately, they lost. In the end, they find out that the alien is only 13 years old. To apologize for him, his parents bring the witches to their home in Upop for a vacation.
Graham’s favourite character was Hatti because she was the smartest and funniest of the witches.

book is about 4 animals called Bimbo, Topsy, Cosy and Bobs. Bimbo and Topsy
always get into trouble by messing up the house. Cosy is always sleeping. Bobs
always runs around after other dogs.
Olivia's favourite characters were Bimbo and Topsy because they are funny and they get into trouble and get scolded. Olivia drew a beautiful picture of her favourite characters, which is on display in the library.

This book is about 2 twins named Ruby and Garnet. They are 10 years old. Their mum died when they were 2 years old. Their dad has a new girlfriend called Rose. Ruby and Garnet hate Rose, but by the end of the book, they love her.
Katie's favourite character was Ruby because she is a twin, and Katie is like Ruby, active and always on the go.
