Book Title:        "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory"

Author:         Roald Dahl

This book is about a boy called Charlie, who wins a visit to a chocolate factory. He has lots of weird and strange adventures. He wins a brilliant prize at the end.

Jim's favourite  character was Charlie because he won the chocolate factory at the end.

Rating: Excellent

Book Title:   “Fionn and the Scots Giant”

Author:   Larry O'Loughlin

This book is about a Scots giant, who comes to take Fionn's head off. Oonagh (Fionn's wife) tells Fionn: "There are other ways to fight without hurting yourself". Oonagh eventually fights the giant in her own way.

Bronagh's favourite character is Oonagh, because she is very clever.

Rating: Very good.

Book Title:       “Flowers in the Attic”

Author:      Virginia Andrews

The book is about a young girl who tells the story of her life in an attic. her father died when she was 12. She had a brother aged 14 and  a brother and  sister aged 4, who were twins. They were sent to live in the attic in their Granny and Granddad's house. They were treated very badly and were left without food for 2 weeks. One day, their mother got married again, and went off on her honeymoon for 2 months. the children made a key and found their mother's room. They tried to take £500 for to get away from their mother. But then their brother dies, and their little sister started to pine away.

Martha's favourite character is The Grandmother because she is mean and bad.

Rating: Excellent
