Boys Football
Both the U-10 and U-12 panels have commenced training with the U-12's having
a game next Tuesday v Tubbercurry.
Please check with Team Management for details.

The Under 14 boys recorded a very good victory against Shamrock Gaels in
their opening game in the Feile Competition at Ransboro Park on Sunday
Morning last.  The home team started very well and kept the pressure on the
opposition right throughout the game.We were slightly flattered by the
scoreline at Half-time but this was mainly due to some excellent goalkeeping
by Captain Conor O'Mahony. The team played very well in all positions with
every player contributing to a very good team effort which augers well for
their future development. Well done to all the players on the day Team:
Conor O'Mahony, Ross Gildea, Sean Gilligan, Paul McGowan, Liam Kelly,
Ashley Gallagher, Ryan McEnroe, Stephen O'Hara, Ciaran Brenan, Joseph
Hanley, David Bergin, Cathal Sheridan, David Duffy, Keelan Cawley, Carl
McEnroe, Gary Cawley,  Stephen McDermott, Padraig Gaughan, Niall Cadden and
Michael McDermott.

The Under 16 Boys team are due to play their opening game om Monday next.
All players should check with Team managers , Stephen Devaney , Naoite
Davitt or Tony McCaul about next training session.It is important that all
players are present for training in preperation for the upcoming game.
Ladies.
The girls teams have commenced training under managers Rose Cawley Teresa
Henry, Eileen Sheridan and Carol Doherty. This group have been the most
successful in terms of winning competitions in the club in the past few
years so lets hope that they continue their winning ways and that some may
rub off onto the other groups in the club.

Bord na NÓg

Week of 11-March 2002

A Meeting of Bord Na N Óg will take place this Thusday 14th at 9:00 pm in
the meeting room at Ransboro Park.

The club are fortunate to have the services of  two of the  Sigerson Cup
Winning Team from Sligo IT providing Coaching in both Ransboro and
Strandhill Schools. The two players are Michael Moyles and Darren Kerins.
Hopefully the children in both schools will gain enjoyment and benefit from
this coaching which is scheduled to run on every Tuesday.  The club would
like to acknowledge the assistance and support from the teachers in both
schools.

We would like to congratulate the Sports Stars of the year who were
presented with their awards last week. They included local Athlete Eimear
Ruane who has represented the local area  at County , National  and
International level. Well done Eimear.  Mark Brehony  from St Mary's who
provided coaching  at Ransboro last Summer. The overall award went to Eamon
O'Hara who has recently been appointed Coach to the clubs and schools in the
City Board Area. We would like to welcome Eamon  to this position and look
forward to working with him. This should provide a great boost to the young
players in the area and all of the boys and girls are really looking forward
it.

The Under 10 team will commence their training This Wednesday 13th evening
at 6:00 p.m. Training the team will be Martin Gillen, Pat Burke and Willie
Kelly.

The Under -14 Feile competition is due to start next week. Training has
commenced for this team, but any player who has not attended and  is
eligible to play (born in 1988 or 1989) then please contact Oliver Sheridan,
Michael McDermott or Brendan O'Mahony.
