Cootehall Village, County Roscommon, Ireland is a picturesque village with the Boyle River flowing though enroute to meet the majestic Shannon River only 2 kilometres downstream.   The village has gone through an enormous transformation in the last 2 years with a new Marina, new housing developments and a new vibrancy in terms of community activity.  The local St. Michaels GAA football club is well established and offers the opportunity for the very young and not so young to get involved in sports and club activities.

Cootehall Village is situated in North County Roscommon, and is equidistant from Boyle Town and Carrick-on-Shannon.  The local population is approx 250 and is set to grow in the coming years with the many new housing developments currently under construction.

The local Primary School has just over 80 pupils and 4 full time teachers.  St. Michaels & St Padraigs National School recently secured Green Flag Status.

Cootehall Village has 2 pubs and shops and a Restaurant ideally situated beside the Boyle river.
