The first days at Court N.S. With the official opening of the school taking place on Monday 16th September 1968, the first Junior Infant Class did not start school until Tuesday 17th, thus enjoying an extended two week holiday, a rarity in 1968. This class had actually attended the old school for one week in July, but, on that Tuesday morning thirty two years ago, eighteen young children created their own little piece of history by being the first Junior Infant intake at the new school. They were accompanied by twenty three veterans (fourteen Senior Infants and nine First Class pupils) who had seen service for a year or more in the old school. Their teacher that day was Mrs. Siobhán Doyle.
Second, Third and Fourth Classes were taught by Mrs.McDonald. Her pupils that day were:
