I remember in Junior
Infants we were in the old school. There was a little play house
in the corner of the room and every morning there was a scramble to see
who would get to be the mommy and the daddy. Valerie was teaching
Senior Infants and one day when Brid was out we went into her class and
we all had our own packet of crayons and our own desk with a lift up top.
Valerie taught us Doh a Dear.
In Senior Infants
I was the doctuir in the Cor Fheile. I had my own little car
but on the night of the Cor Fheile the car wouldn't go so Eleanor had to
push it out onto the stage.
In First Class Eleanor
was our teacher but she was sick a lot of the time so we got sub-teachers.
One of them named Karen used to stand up on the table and sing.

Singing in the City
Hall
We've done four of
them in all
We did an opera
in third
And we wrote every
single word.
And now we're doing
a play today
To end all of our
primary school days.

The Good Days
I remember when in
third class we did an opera and I was a make-up
person and Vanessa put loads of make-up all over Patrick. And I remember
when we all helped for Mozambique and filled a big M with money and in
the Winter Fair we finally got to be behind the stalls and how Cloud, Spark
did a big painting on the wall. They were the good times.

What I remember about
the CSP is
Junior Infants - Imogen,
my friend, came from Cyprus to live in Cork. She was four.
I remember going to school with her and sitting down beside her with a
few other people in a row.
Senior infants: We
changed school
2nd Class:- We did
a puppet show with Grames
4th Class: Remember
doing an Indian project and we saw a dance company - Diversity Dance.
Their dance was all different like out school.
3rd Class - We did
an opera with Bairbre. I was an actor.
5th Class - We did
a Mural with Spark, Cloud and Mark. Everyone in the school did a
small circle.
6th Class - Children
from CSP helped with dancing and singing etc in a play for Diversity Day..

I remember in Junior
Infants Brid asked the oldest children from each family who were in this
school to come up and take a note. My Brother was in fifth
class so I went up thinking that each class was a different school.

Remember
This poem is to remind
All of us what we're
leaving behind.
Not Maths or Geography
Not even art or P.E.
This is to remind our
class
That it wasn't that
bad, Our C.S.P. past.
Remember Ray, a jolly
old fellow
And James with the
colour yellow.
I know in years to
come most of you will ponder
How could you survive
if school was any longer.
But then there's a
group of maximum four
Who wanted to stay
a tiny bit more.

I remember, I remember,
When we moved school,
I saw my friends there
Sitting at new desks,
I felt a bit nervous.
I remember, I remember,
When I was in third
class,
We decided to do an
opera
We all worked very
hard on it
It turned out very
well.
I remember, I remember,
Diversity Day
Acting,
Just doing it for
fun,
And then it turned
out brilliant.
I remember, I remember,
All the teachers who
helped me,
To get through my
work,
And they taught me
what I need to know,
Thank you all.

I will remember the
old school and the move to the new school. I will remember the opera
and the forth and fifth school tours. I enjoyed my time in the school but
I'm looking forward to secondary school.

I remember in Junior
Infants when Ger was walking outside and he looked in.
Garry stuck his tongue
out at him and suddenly Ger pretended to get very cross. Brid told us to
all hide under our tables because Ger was coming in. Brid went and hid
in the Doll House. Ger came in and looked around for a few seconds.
We were all very quiet. Brid then came out and said 'Okay Ger here
I am'. We all jumped out from under the tables and a few people went
BOO! Brid told us to stay very quiet for a few minutes
or else Ger would get even crosser!
She then started to
talk to Ger.

We remember our school
tour with Ray when we went to the Aquadome. We remember Vanessa because
she was really funny. We thought the opera was great
and so was the school.

I remember in one
play I got my lines mixed up. I was daddy bear and I said” Who’s been sitting
on my bed? And there was loads of laughs.

My favourite memory
was definitely the Opera. I chose this because we
all took part in this. Everyone in class put a lot of effort to make it.
Plus we wrote the story and the lyrics for the songs. We played our own
music very well. But we couldn’t have done it without the help of Bairbre.

I remember the Opera.
It was great fun. I also remember the school tours we went on. This year
we went to Limerick and Clare. I will also remember all the teachers, they
were very nice..

My main memory was
the Opera that we did in third class. We worked
on it through most of the school year and we then performed in the Granary
Theatre. I enjoyed it a lot.

The Opera
was fabulous and it’s something I’ll ever forget. I remember second class
we made puppets and then put on a puppet show for all the other classes.
All the school tours we went to over the eight years were really fun and
exiting. The school winter fairs were really great and very memorable.
I remember the old school and the cute wooden tables with the lift up tops.

I remember in third
class I went to Tralee and we went to the Aquadome and we had loads of
fun. Ray was our teacher then. It was great fun on the bus because we played
Gameboy and cards. After the Aquadome we went to Mc Donalds.

I remember I first
day at school and I was thinking how small it was. Brid gave
everyone a lollipop and she had to give one boy two to stop him crying.
On my first day back in first class everyone was so surprised to see me
because I had been away in Spain the year before. Ann Claire and
Catriona were sitting together and as I came in they gave me a huge wave
and said "hi hi hi Leslie you've come back"
In First Class we
had Eleanor but she was in hospital a lot so we had sub-teacher.
One teacher used to stand on the table and sing She'll be coming round
the mountain.
