LOUGH KEY FOREST PARK


Lough Key Forest Park is situated on the main N4 , and is 5 km from Boyle. combines quiet walks, wildlife, beautiful scenery and lakeside attractions.

The 800 acre park which was formerly part of the Rockingham Estate, home of the Stafford King Harmon family, includes a large area of woodland gardens, nature walks, and archaeological remains. Incorporated with first class services and amenities , it has drawn admirers from all walks of life and from all over the world.

Boating

Located at the harbour are a fleet of 18 foot Darragh fibreglass
boats with 3 and 4 hp outboard engines ,available for hire at daily
or hourly rates 

For those who prefer a more exhilarating trip around the lake , A 10 seater Power Boat with driver / guide is available in peak season.

Fishing

The lake has an abundance of fish for the coarse fisherman including,
Pike, Bream , Roach , Perch and Eel.
During the fly season Fly fishermen can catch Brown Trout from 2 lb
to 8 lb. The may fly season providing many large trout on par with
the adjacent Lough Arrow ....Any person requiring detailed
information and / or advice on what fly is " up " etc ..
