George Street - Limerick



This Postcard of George Street (now O'Connell St.) is from the Lawrence collection and dates from the end of the 19th century.
The building on the left is Cruises Hotel and the view is looking up George Street. Todds can also be seen on the left further up the street with the canopies over the shop.
This second Postcard of George Street is from the same era and was actually posted to Belgium in 1903.
The building on the imediate left is now demolished and the site occupied by the Bank of Ireland.
The building further down the street with the flags on the roof is now Roches Stores.
