The Mythical Goddess | ||||||||||||||||||||||
A collection of artwork created separately but with a common thread... The powerful, enchanting, beautiful Goddess |

The Lady of Winter | ||||||||||||||||||||||
I wanted to capture in her an otherworldliness, a beauty that was wonderful to gaze upon, but that was unapproachable. Although originally planned as part of a set, this turned out to be a single design due to other commitments delaying their production. I'm hoping to expand the original idea soon, all being well. But for now she stays our solitary 'Lady of Winter. |

The Morrigan | ||||||||||||||||||||||
This portrait of The Morrigan is a re working of a much earlier painting. Although a very simple design, I love the contrast of the Celtic Royal Colours of red, black and white. They are such a strong combination . . . a perfect compliment to such a powerful Goddess. |

The Ritual Dance | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The endless eddy of the patterns in this picture remind me of a fast uncompromising dance . . . a jig even . . . one slip and you lose the steps never to recapture that same frenzy until the next time. There is so much movement here; I feel I could almost will it into life in front of my eyes. |

Etain | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Etain, although a confusion of imagery, is quite a special picture to me. She came about at just the right time. I painted her shortly after our move from Wales and I was in a very tumultuous state of mind. I don't know how she managed it, but she calmed my inner fears. On the surface I was cool, whilst underneath I trembled at the very thought of what we had just done. Painting Etain soothed my soul and she brought me through it. She was my most perfect Goddess to date. Her skin gave off shimmer like that of real skin, something I had not captured until now. I loved her immediately. |
