The most common crops are hay, silage, and potatoes.  The farmers plant the potatoes in mid-April and they are ready for picking in September.  The grass seed is sown and it will turn into hay the following year.  Silage (what the cows eat) is made from hay or grass that is cut and put into bales.  The most common breed of cattle around Creeslough are Friesian, Aberdeen Angus, Hereford, and Charolais.(crossbread)  Sheep farming is also common because of the many hills. mountains and Bog.  Breed of sheep farmed include Crossbreads, Scottish blackfaces, with some Suffolk and Cheviot.  Lambs are born from January to April.
