Pure Madness is Ireland’s No.1 Madness Tribute act. The band was formed in spring 2007 by drummer Fergal and bassist Damian who were keen to revive and show case one of the best loved acts from the 80’s. Pure Madness like most bands was formed from permutations of other band that Fergal and Damian had played in and once the line up was complete it was ‘roll-up the sleeves’ and down to work.

The set was picked and agreed upon and once they had it off to what they hope is near perfection, Pure Madness set on their vocation to bring back the popular and vibrant sounds of Madness to the public all over Ireland.

The band started playing smaller less well known venues at first but once they became fully ‘match-fit’ and when the word started getting around, the band started playing larger and more prominent gigs.

With a lot of tribute acts, just getting the music right is enough, however Pure Madness have spent considerable time and effort with getting the visual aspect right with great attention to clothes and outfits worn as well as perfecting their ‘nutty’ choreography.
