OUR SCHOOL
St. Joseph’s C.B.S. is a Catholic Secondary School under the Trusteeship of the Christian Brothers.
The present modern complex was opened in 1990 replacing a building which had served the town of Drogheda since 1858. Our present enrolment of 650 boys is the largest in the history of the school.
Our school is large enough to provide a wide ranging curriculum and to cater for all students. Yet, it is small enough to retain a family atmosphere. Our Class Tutor and Personal and Social Education system ensure that each student is supported as an individual within the traditional academic structure of the school.

Dear Parents,
I hope you find this website informative. It is impossible to capture the full range of services provided by a school like ours with a tradition which stretches back to 1850. However, if you require more information why not call into the school where you will be met and shown around.
Our new school is a long term investment which has been designed to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world. The curriculum we offer is one where academic study is augmented by the teaching of practical skills. In addition, our Remedial services provide help and assistance to all students with particular needs.
Finally, if you are one of the very many parents who have sent their sons to our school may I thank you for your continued loyalty and support .To those of you who are new parents I would like to extend an invitation to join that community of parents, students and teachers which is St Joseph’s C.B.S.
