Controversy :- The other crews complained that ABC was cheating as the Cox was standing up(wind resistance I presume).
What in fact was going on was that 2 and 3 in the Athlunkard Crew (Brothers), were nothing short of a fist fight during the race. The Cox having none of it in his boat got up and started hurling abuse at them.
While all this was going on Athlunkard went on to win the race from Bann by a canvas.
