Guiding is for everyone!!

We offer a comprehensive programme of activities which is fun and challenging, within the following sections.

  • Cygnet Guides age 5 - 6
  • Brigin Guides age 6 - 11
  • Guides age 10 - 17
  • Ranger Guides age 14 - 19
  • Adult Leaders (Guiders) age 17+
  • Friends of Guiding
  • Associate Members

Cygnet Guides

Age 5 - 6 years

approx 15 members per Company

Care and Share Programme

The programme is based on fun and play activities involving art, craft, dancing, singing and many other creative activities.

Cygnet Guides.....Care and share; are Young and special; love God; are always Neat; Enjoy themselves and Try to be good

 

Brigin Guides

Age 6 - 11 years

Max 36 members per Company

Lend-a-Hand Programme

Age 10 - 17 years

Max 36 per Company

Come Guiding Programme

 

Ranger Guides/ 14+ Guides

Age 14 -19 years

Approx 8 per Company

Guides age 14+ are encouraged to follow the Ranger/14+ programme

 

Adult Leaders

Without Adult Leaders Guiding could not function.

We provide a comprehensive Training Programme which covers all aspects of Guiding in the 21st Century.

Basic Guider Course. This course is held in the Diocese each September/October. On completion of the Course in February, participants are appointed Assistant Guiders. Participants in this course must be 17 years and over.

On completion of the Guider Course, Assistant Guiders may be appointed Guiders.

 

Friends of Guiding

Friends of Guiding support Guiding in a financial way. Friends of Guiding usually have some connection with Guiding, - a child involved, a friend who is a Guider etc.

How to be a Friend of Guiding

Register your name with the Diocese and pay an annual subscription which will be used to support Guiding in Dublin.

 

Associate Members

Associate Membership aims to keep the spirit of Guiding alive. There is an active Associate Members group in Dublin which meets once a month.
