My name is Amanda Chadderdon.I am a pupil of Raymond Marquith Elementary School in East Galesburg.
I get up at 6:30 am. each morning.
I travel to school by bus with my friends.
It is a short trip through the town of East Galesburg. It takes about 10 minutes.The bus is almost full by the time it gets to my stop. Eight of my friend's get on when I do. We arrive at school about 7.55 am. We are in our rooms by 8:10, and classes begin at 8.30.am.
We usually start with spelling.We get a break three mornings a week. The break lasts for
10 – 15 minutes.When we go out for break, I like to climb the spider web.We don't
bring snacks to school.When it is wet outside we play games on the computer.
For second period we read in our textbooks silently and then
out-loud. We then do our worksheets or we do crosswords. My favourite subject in school is
Math.We take lunch break at 11.00 until 12.00.p.m.We bring our lunch to school but I
don’t have any.We go out to play in the schoolyard at lunchtime. I play tag,
teeter-tooter and I chase my brother.
In the afternoon we do Math, English, Recess, Science and Social Studies. I like to read
as well. We get time in class to do our homework. If we don’t get it all done we must
finish it at home. I usually get mine done in class.
We finish school at 3.00 p.m. Our school day is 7 hours long.The things I don’t like
about school are English, Science or Social Studies.I really don’t like going over
the same stuff I already know in class.I like figuring out Math problems.I like reading
the Bible and I also like the Alpha Smart Boards.
My teacher's name is Mrs. Nelson.
She can be nice but she can be tough.
