School Facilities
students.jpg (14417 bytes)There are other part time members of staff who have expertise in such areas as art, music and physical education for example.
We have 6 classrooms and three small conference size rooms for the special classes. We have an all purpose room which is used for music, p.e.and lunch. Our library is on the stage. We have 147 students. Our school year consists of 185 days--this required by the State of Illinois.  Annually we select a country for the entire school to study. This year it is Sweden. Last year was Ireland. We linked with Edmund Rice Primary School last year and enjoyed the experience. The year before that Mexico, and the year before that Africa. We learn a little of the language, the culture and  we decorate our Christmas tree like that country does, we bring outside speakers, and the students help the cooks prepare an ethnic meal each year.
