Engage Art Studios is supported by the Arts Council and the Galway City Council.

Engage Art Studios is an artist-run studio space in Galway city centre. Founded in 2004, Engage supports contemporary artists in a professional environment.

Engage Art Studios provides an atmosphere of creativity, production, inspiration and opportunity for working artists in the Galway area. The unique studio space is on the top floors of the old Cathedral Building on the corner of Middle and Abbeygate Streets. There are 13 private studios and a fully equipped office and digital suite. Engage is not a residential studio space.

Engage is a member of the Artist Studio Network of Ireland.

Engage also offers an 'orbital' membership, which allows access to our facilities and to exhibitions.

The building is safe and well lit, located just off Shop Street in Galway City Centre. Studios range in size from 80 to 260 sq. feet. Many of the larger studios are shared. Artists may apply for a studio by emailing or posting up to 10 medium sized images, a current CV and letter or email of intent. If you are accepted to the studios and there is not a space available, you will be placed on a waiting list. If you have any inquiries or wish to apply please contact us directly.
