Many thanks to the Parents Council for their donation of £600 towards a Photocopier for the School Library. This should be of great benifit to the students and the library staff

School Library

To celebrate the week of Childrens Book Festival (Nov 15-19) lunchtime readings were organised for students by the library staff. Throughout the week both school and visiting readers took the opportunity to share an extract from their favourite book with all who attended. We would like to thank Ms Mary Connelly, Ms Marie Gibney and all who participated in what proved to be a very enjoyable and alternative way of spending lunchtime.

To promote reading and encourage the giving books as Christmas presents, a series of lunchtime Christmas book ideas were organised in the school library. The response and interest shown by students was enthusiastic. Teenage book ideas were presented by Milka Porter, Etaoin O'Reilly and Michelle O'Doherty. Mrs Allen and Ms Fox reviewed books suited as adult gifts.
