Game waves a white flag... again.
Only a few
weeks after releasing his Ghost Unit mixtape dissing G-Unit, The Game is
once again ready to call a truce with 50 Cent. While 50 recently blamed
Dr. Dre for his falling out with Game, Chuck Taylor told 106 & Park's
audience that Dre and Eminem have not been involved in the feud. He also
added that he is ashamed of his actions during the feud and plans to stop.
"I think that Dre and Em, the role that they've played in all this
is kinda stand in the back and let these two idiots figure it out. I'm definitely
embarrassed by what's been going on," Game told BET's Big Tigger, Julissa
and guest host David Banner while on hand to premiere his "Put You
On The Game" video earlier this week. "But sometimes when you're
backed against that wall, it's 5 against 1. I just felt obligated to put
my hands up and began to defend myself. I definitely want to apologize to
my fans, and Dr. Dre, and Interscope, and Aftermath. Like I said I'm working
on it." Game also took the opportunity to announce the release of his
sophomore album for Spring 2006.The Compton emcee revealed that he plans
on following The Documentary's formula and recently hit the lab with Just
Blaze and Cool & Dre while in New York. He also hopes to work with Gwen
Stefani and team up with Kanye West for his second disc.

Cam'ron Hits R. Kelly With Lawsuit!
The legal problems for R. Kelly continue to mount, as Harlem, New York rapper
Cam’ron has hit the Chicago, Illinois crooner with a lawsuit.
Cam’ron, born Cameron Giles alleges R. Kelly has infringed his copyright
for the “Snake Remix,” which Giles claims he co-write.
Both the original version and the remix to the song R. Kelly and former
Rap City host Big Tigga and the remix featured the pair plus Cam’ron.
The original version was featured on Kelly’s 2003 hit album Chocolate
Factory.
The lawsuit comes on the heels of the soul singer’s wife Andrea’s
filing for an order of protection against Kelly, which was granted last
Thursday (Sept. 22). In the latest turn events, Kelly’s wife filed
a request to dismiss the order of protection, her lawyer Nathan Swerdlove
said yesterday (Sept. 27).
“They had a squabble -- and how many marriages don't have that sort
of thing?" told the Chicago Sun Times. "They're trying to work
things out, and they'd like to do it privately.”
Lil Jon Sues Hustler Over Porno He Didn't Agree To Be In!
Lil Jon filed a federal lawsuit on Monday in Atlanta seeking upwards of
$30 million from Larry Flynt Productions for allegedly using his name and
likeness without permission for the adult film Phat Tuesday.
According to the rapper's lawsuit, LFP — which owns Hustler magazine
and its empire of other print titles and films — acquired promotional
onstage and backstage footage from another company, Category 5, which shot
a February 2004 Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz concert in New Orleans.
Before using this footage, Category 5 was supposed to clear it with TVT
Records but did not, the suit says, and it asks for $75,000 in damages for
that breach alone.
Hustler Video then used the footage for "Phat Tuesday," a movie
about five women who go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and, in between having
sex with men and each other, attend a Lil Jon concert. On the cover of the
DVD package, the rapper's likeness is used in a composite photograph with
two of the film's actresses, with the words, "Featuring Lil Jon, King
of Crunk." Jon was unaware of this usage until the video was released
in February, his suit says.
Claiming breach of contract, false advertising, infringement of right to
publicity and appropriation of name and likeness, Lil Jon's suit says he's
been deprived of royalties, revenue and reputation. Had his name and likeness
been properly licensed, he estimates he would have earned $500,000. Since
a previous authorized video, Lil Jon's American Sex Series, generated "significant
income," he estimates that the income from a similar video, released
while he was even more popular, "would have doubled."
This video, however, prevents him from releasing his own, he claims, since
"Phat Tuesday" has "glutted the market." The rapper
had planned to release Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz Vivid Vegas Party
this year, which Vivid Video announced in January would be out by this summer.
However, even though that film is completed, it has yet to come out, a rep
for Vivid said. Lil Jon was also planning a follow-up for early 2006, called
Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz Nightclubbin'.
As far as his reputation, Lil Jon says his name and likeness are "valuable
commodities, with significant secondary meaning and goodwill attached to
them." That goodwill has been "tarnished significantly by being
linked improperly to Hustler and Larry Flynt," and the suit estimates
that the lost goodwill "is not less than $30 million."
A spokesperson for Larry Flynt Productions could not be reached for comment
at press time.

Damon Dash Sells Stake In Rocawear For $22 Million In Cash!
Damon Dash is severing business ties with formers partners including Jay-Z
and is selling his stake in Rocawear back to partners for $22 million dollars.
Rocawear was established in 1999 and has grossed over $500 million dollars
since its inception.
The move all but seals any further business dealings between the two former
Rocawear/Roc-A-Fella co-CEO’s.
“Rocawear was my point of view, a Harlem swagger," Dash told
AllHipHop of the sale. "They gave me $30 million and 75% of Team Roc.
I'm real happy with the deal. I got $22.5 million in cash and the rest in
companies (like State Property, Team Roc, Pro-Keds and other entities)."
Rumors of Dash making an exit from the Roc brand started to circulate shortly
after Dash and Jay-Z sold Roc-A-Fella Records in 2004, a venture which they
established in 1995
By the late 1990’s, Roc-A-Fella Records was raking in over $50 million
dollars annually, releasing hit records by Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Memphis
Bleek and others.
In 1997, Island Def Jam bought a 50% stake in the label for $1.5 million.
The success helped launch Rocawear and Roc-A-Fella Films in 1999, Dash Films
in 2001 and Armadale Vodka in 2002.
The label was sold back to Def Jam in 2004 amid rumors of a rift between
Dash and superstar rapper and co-CEO Jay-Z.
The remaining 50% stake in Roc-A-Fella Records was acquired for $10 million
dollars, giving Island Def Jam, a unit of Universal, 100 % ownership of
the label.
Roc-A-Fella executives had renegotiated their deal with Island Def Jam several
years prior to selling the remaining stake for $20 million dollars, bringing
the total selling price of Roc-A-Fella to over $30 million dollars.
Dash denied rumors of hostile feeling towards his former business partner.
“When the original Roc-A-Fella broke up, it was time for everybody
to do their own thing,” Dash said. “We ain't no bitch-ass n***as
taking sides. All that shit is petty and s**t."
While the move marks the end of Dash’s relationship with the Roc-A-Fella
brand, Dash is involved in several other high profile ventures.
He holds investments in the Tiret watch company, his film production-company
Dash Films, America magazine, State Property clothing, a licensing deal
with Pro-Keds sneakers and his record label, Dame Dash Music Group, which
is distributed by Island Def Jam.
“Now that I know the business world, I don't need partners,”
Dash said. “I got my own connects with the bank."

DMX
Misses Court Date; Food Poisoning
DMX
failed to make an obligatory court date on Tuesday, where the rapper was
expected to answer to charges related to driving with a suspended license.
DMX traveled from Europe to New York to appear in a Bronx courtroom, but the rapper’s lawyer said a possible case of food poisoning might have prevented the him from making the date.
Judge George Villegas accepted the Yonkers native’s excuse, but told the court that an arrest warrant would be issued if the Yonkers native didn’t appear in court by Monday. The prosecutors wanted the warrant to be given out immediately, according to the New York Post.
On April 15, the rapper’s 2005 Dodge Magnum allegedly hit a car that, in turn, hit an unmarked police vehicle. The prosecution charges that DMX wasn’t supposed to be driving, as his license was suspended. Neither DMX nor his wife or children were injured in the collision, but the two officers were hurt.
