Cash-U Mobile Technologies is a provider of enhanced mobile entertainment solutions. Cash-U empowers Mobile Operators and Wireless ASPs to generate higher revenues and stay ahead of their competitors through the creation of exciting and innovative mobile entertainment services. This includes full content management & download server capabilities as well as multi-format gaming from SMS to Smart Client (J2ME, Symbian) multiplayer gaming. Cash-U's solutions are commercially installed with several of Europe's and Asia's leading operators including O2, Vodafone Omintel, Telefonica and LG Telecom.

The globally deployed Pecan Entertainment Service Delivery Platform provides an operator with the tools to build value-added services from gaming to content management and provision and also allows the Operator or ASP to run all internally and externally hosted entertainment services through a single interface. The benefits of doing this as manyfold – from saving valuable time and generating revenue through to building a complex picture of customer behaviour for hi-impact marketing campaigns.

Technology

The Pecan Mobile Entertainment SDP (Service Delivery Platform) has been developed by Cash-U to offer operators and ASP’s the flexibility and control they need in order to deliver a suite of revenue-generating mobile entertainment services. All products (Pecan Gaming, Pecan Provisioning and Pecan Promote) are built upon the solid foundations of the Pecan Infrastructure and once one is used then slotting the other modules in is quick and easy.

Centralalised Mobile Entertainment Services
With Pecan, operators employ ONE framework to address allcontent types, delivery protocols and clients. A single management interface ensures operators retain complete control over the customer offering for both internally and externally hosted services as well as customize the customer experience for mobile and web portals. By centralizing their entertainment services operators enjoy power and control coupled with higher revenues, much greater efficiency and lower running costs.

Applications

Pecan Gaming
Pecan Gaming forms a key part of the Pecan Service Delivery Platform. Community enablers take full advantage of the mobile network in order to foster a sense of community. Features include chat, lobbies, tournaments, multiplayer gaming (many and massively) newsletters and more. Pecan Gaming supports SMS, MMS, WAP, J2ME, Web and i Mode with new types of devices and protocols easily added as they emerge. Pecan Gaming also supports services across any mobile network - 2G, 2.5G and 3G - or several networks simultaneously.

Pecan Provisioning
Pecan Provisioning makes the end-to-end management and delivery of rich media as easy as possible by enabling operators to categorize and upload all content types with the minimum of effort and manpower. Automatic device recognition ensures that users only see content that is relevant to them.

Pecan Promote
Pecan Promote is a tool for analyzing user activity and creating focused marketing campaigns based on the customer’s dynamic profile. Pecan Promote allows the mobile operator to promote its own services in a sophisticated way that enhances the user experience whilst respecting their privacy. Moreover, Pecan Promote enables operators to cooperate with third parties in order to introduce new and innovative services.

Deployments

Telefonica Moviles: Telefonica Moviles, a Spanish market operator, used Cash-U’s mobile entertainment platform to enable Telefónica to host WAP and SMS entertainment services.

Omnitel: Omnitel, a member of the Vodafone Group, selected Cash-U's Pecan as its entertainment platform of choice. Omnitel subscribers, numbering over 15 million, can access a host of games and entertainment services from their mobile phones using the Pecan platform

LG Telecom: Cash-U’s server and SDK will be evaluated as the full-scale production solution for LG Telecom’s mobile entertainment services, and will be also used by LG’s growing community of game developers.

Other customers include Eurofun, Wind, Cellcom, Pelephone, Westel and mmO2
