Company Profile
Amodat was established in 2001. Amodat's corporate headquarters and R&D operations are located in Israel. Its European sales and marketing office is centred in London, United Kingdom and its North American operations are centred in Beachwood, Ohio.

Amodat Technologies operates in the enterprise wireless and mobile data applications market to provide software that facilitates wireless, online/offline data transfer between the head office and mobile workers on handheld computers and Personal Digital Assistants (PDA's).

Amodat has successfully developed a mobile application platform and client applications targeted toward companies with mobile workforces. These solutions integrate with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Accounting packages, Helpdesks and Legacy systems.

In conjunction with public and private wireless data communications networks, Amodat’s comprehensive solutions automate the business processes associated with sales force, field service, CRM, pharmaceutical detailing, and field data collection.

To date, Amodat has completed over 80 projects with close to 2000 mobile users. The company’s mobile solutions for sales force and field service engineers allow mobile workforces to synchronize online and/or offline with their office applications and databases, including virtually any combination of ERP, CRM, PIM, and legacy systems. To date, Amodat products are ported to some of the leading enterprise software, including Oracle, SAP, GoldMine, Saleslogix, Movex, Priority and many others.

The Enterprise Mobile Platform (EMP) provides enterprises with the ability to focus their attention on the critical elements of mobile data adoption. The platform takes full advantage of the latest available and future technologies while presenting a uniform, multilingual, fully synchronized desktop-like environment to the end user. Amodat delivers mobile solutions that enable sales force, field service and CRM automation, data collection, and wireless access to enterprise systems. The system supports Palm OS or Pocket PC platforms and is compatible with all standard wireless technologies such as GSM, GPRS, Wi-Fi, BlueTooth.


Technology
The Amodat EMP (Enterprise Mobile Platform) is comprised of a number of distinct components:

The Mobile Application Gateway (MAG) is the enabling software layer that resides between Amodat Client Applications and the back-office software and database and contains the following major processes:
App Manager - A user interface that gives IT manager’s control over every aspect of the mobile application. A coherent GUI allows full control and setting of parameters, users, PDA status, etc.
Sync Manager - A tool that monitors and controls synchronization between PDA Application Modules and the enterprise software. The Sync Manager protocol and GUI allow for setting of "personal" sync profiles and ensure fast synchronization - essential for large amounts of information. The Sync Manager also provides IT managers with a fully detailed log and error lists of every sync attempt.
Security Manager - The Security Manager provides three levels of security: Every transaction attempt is analyzed and monitored. Only authorized personnel can access data, and view only the data that is relevant to that person. Synchronized data is ciphered to secure the wireless data transaction. Access to the data on the PDA is secured by a password. The Security Manager and the Sync Manager work to ensure data integrity between PDA database and back-office.

The Client Applications are mobile workforce solutions comprised of standard Application Modules (AM's), bundled together to form mobile extensions to back- office software. Among the standard client applications are Amodat Mobile Sales, Amodat Mobile Field Service and Amodat Mobile CRM. Amodat continues to develop and add new client applications. The modular structure allows bundling almost every configuration of applications to suit the capabilities of the back-office software and end-user functional requirements.

The Application Modules are functional application blocks, including Account Management, Contact Management, Activities and more. Customers can bundle modules and form the equivalent to their back-office tools and/or run modules as stand-alone applications, adding functionality to their back-office software. Amodat constantly develops and adds new modules. On top of its modules, Amodat adopts standard, off-the-shelf third party applications and contains them as modules on its client desktop (CDT)

The Client Desktop is a uniform, desktop-like GUI that provides the mobile worker with an easy-to-use, straight forward environment for mobile business applications. The user can run their mobile applications without bothering with the PDA standard OS and environment. Standard PDA and third party applications can be added to Amodat’s standard modules and run on the CDT without having to leave the business environment.

The Client Application Gateway is the mobile software layer that manages and links the applications on the mobile PDA.


Applications

Amodat Mobile Sales has a full range of solutions for the retail, distribution, and supply industries that streamline the sales process and help sales professionals perform their daily routines with ease and efficiency. Amodat Mobile Sales enables companies to manage their field force more effectively, cut operational costs, increase productivity and generate new revenues through advanced selling tools. Amodat Mobile Sales provides the most comprehensive PDA sales functionality in the industry.

Amodat Mobile Manager is an enhanced Application Module complementary to the mobile sales application and is designed for the professional sales manager on the road. Amodat Mobile Manager gives sales managers direct access via a PDA to the sales data of the entire sales team, for viewing individual and accumulated sales performances, such as open quotations, orders, history, payments, and profits. The information can be sorted by different categories, such as by account or sales person.

Amodat Mobile Field Service has a full range of solutions for service-providing industries. Amodat Mobile Field Service enables the field service organization to better manage performance, streamline operations, allocate resources, disseminate knowledge, and improve inventory management. Amodat Mobile Field Service provides the most comprehensive PDA service functionality in the industry.

Complementary to Amodat Mobile Field Service is Amodat Mobile Form & Survey, an easy-to-use, enhanced Application Module that enables the mobile workers to collect and synchronize important information not previously linked to the enterprise back-office database, such as on-site customer satisfaction surveys, new account leads, marketing surveys, opinion polls, and so on.

Amodat Mobile CRM is a lead and contact management application that keeps mobile sales and marketing professionals completely connected to their company's Customer Relationship Management software on their handhelds. Amodat Mobile CRM enables reps to manage their accounts, contacts, activities and opportunities, and to collect, update and store important client information from the field. With Amodat Mobile CRM, sales and marketing professionals have a powerful tool for increasing customer retention, enhancing customer satisfaction, and creating new leads and referrals.


Deployments

Klir selected Amodat's full on-line/offline, wireless mobile sales force solution, Amodat Mobile Sales, powered by Amodat EMP and running on Palm M515 as the mobile workforce solution to facilitate wireless data transfer between its mobile workers and the head office, and to fully automate its sales operations.

Yazamko selected Amodat Mobile Field Service solution, powered by Amodat Enterprise Mobile Platform, running on the HP Jornada 728 (1/2 VGA screen, Pocket PC platform) to automate its field service operation and facilitate wireless data transfer between the mobile workforce and the enterprise

Shaked selected Amodat Mobile Sales, powered by Amodat Enterprise Mobile Plaftform, running on PalmOS handheld PDA devices, to wirelessly connect field sales to the organization. Since implementing the solution, Shaked's sales reps send their orders directly from the field to the company's accounting back-office software via their handheld devices, and receive up-to-date information directly from the organization's system, bypassing the manual entry process entirely.

Other customers include Palm Europe, Promedico, SuperGas, Danon, Tal-Gal, Gamidor, Nice and Pop, Intersun, National Mode, SACF, Hanamal, Grafity, Kafu-Zan, Gamchi, Orion, Caterpillar, Salloum and El-Habull.
