Company Profile
Itsmobile was founded in December 1999 in Dublin, Ireland and currently also operates offices Dublin, London and Sydney. The company was founded by Kieran McCrea and Donal McGuinness with the intention of developing core technology to enable rapid deployment of m-commerce services. These services would allow traditional business and mobile operators to compliment their existing physical and online presence with a high-volume real-time mobile transaction environment. We are constantly enhancing this technology to develop compelling consumer services in partnership with leading global channels. The core technology, the Emporia Transaction Server has been fully developed and has been in commercial deployment in numerous applications for over 3 years.
Itsmobile has applied particular focus on the government and local government sectors globally where it has identified a compelling product proposition. We have developed a number of commercially deployed m-Commerce applications for this sector, but have found particular success in selling a number of wireless based applications which aid the removal of cash from on-street environments and help automate paper intensive processes for government employed street officials.

Technology
Emporia Transaction Server is Itsmobile’s high volume, multi-channel mobile and internet transaction server. Emporia Transaction Server supports user initiated transactions through a range of user interfaces including Internet, SMS, IVR, USSD & WAP.

Emporia is designed to mobile & fixed line based transaction services as well as traditional internet and desktop applications. Emporia comes with a range of industry specific application plug-ins including vending, ticketing, gaming, entertainment and transport solutions, and can be extended to support specific business requirements. The platform supports automatic fraud management, customer registration, subscription and management features with automated promotional features for managing events such as discounts or special offers. It also includes payment processing capabilities for varying types of methods including credit/debit cards, mobile billing, FastPay and BT Click&Buy.
Emporia supports SMS and email transaction receipts with online administrative and operational features including customer management, transaction records and payment tracking. The system also supports self-monitoring as a method of fault detection.

Applications

Congestion Charging
Itsmobile’s Congestion Charging Payment platform utilises existing technologies to provide a reliable and flexible means for motorists to pay their congestion charging fees. Payment can be made via SMS, IVR or Internet, with user friendly options for once off or frequent usage, providing a fully automated payment platform that keeps operational costs to a minimum.

mPARK
mPARK is Itsmobile’s mobile parking payment system. Winner of "Best example of an E-Commerce Implementation" at the 2003 ICT Excellence awards, mPARK is a cashless option which works in tandem with existing on-street parking meter infrastructure, and allows motorists to pay for parking using their mobile phone. A range of billing options is available to suit distinct requirements. The mPARK mobile parking payment solution is currently implemented Dublin, Edinburgh and North Sydney. mPARK can be delivered as an off-the-shelf solution or as managed service offering.

mPARK Meterless
mPARK Meterless is Itsmobile`s virtual on-street mobile parking payment solution. Based on the mPARK Permit Manager platform, mPARK Meterless uses in-car permits to allow motorists to pay for parking using their mobile phone. Motorists are issued permits which are displayed on their vehicles. When a motorist wishes to park in an mPARK Meterless zone, they phone the mPARK service, supply their phone number, and how long they wish to park for/how much they wish to spend. Similar to the Permit Manager solution, enforcement officers validate motorists parking by scanning permits with wireless enabled handheld terminals. The terminals will check the status of the motorists parking on the mPARK server in real-time using wireless communications and confirm the parking details to the enforcement officer.

mPARK Permit Manager
mPARK Permit Manager provides parking & traffic managers with a system for issuing, renewing, validating and accepting payments for parking permits. Administration and handling costs are practically eliminated and the system provides support for permits including residents, seasonal, business & trading. mPARK Permit Manager can be implemented as an off-the-shelf solution or as a managed service and includes web-based permit processing, renewal & payment forms. Permits issued by Permit Manager are validated using handheld terminals. Permit data is regularly downloaded from the Permit Manager to the handheld terminals and permits are validated by scanning barcodes printed on the front of the permits or keying in permit issue numbers. Transponder/RFID permit solutions are also supported. The system can work with existing handheld terminals or supplied as part of an overall solution.

TeleMonitor
TeleMonitor is Itsmobile’s remote management and monitoring system for field hardware such as vending machines, meters, gauges, etc. Tele Monitor allows clients to monitor constantly updated information on all their field hardware from the convenience of the office.

SMSMart
SMSMart is a J2EE application which allows you to SMS Enable your products and applications. Whether you provide desktop or internet applications and services, SMSMart provides you with a low-cost means of sending and receiving SMS messages

TicketBox
TicketBox is Itsmobile’s online ticketing system for promoters, cinemas, theatres and other entertainment venues. TicketBox provides the venue with a real-time, electronic ticket sales solution, which can also interface directly with your existing front of house software, and is capable of handling high volumes of transactions.

Deployments

Dublin City Council: Dublin City Council was the first city in the world to implement Itsmobile's mPARK mobile parking payment service. The pioneering mPARK service was the result of several years research and development and the Dublin installation was the first of its kind in the world; a city wide rollout of mobile parking payments using existing street equipment.

Vodafone Ireland: Vodafone Ireland has successfully trialed Itsmobile vending technology. Using Itsmobile's vending platform, Vodafone customers are able to purchase soft-drinks & confectionary from a vending machine using their mobile phone.

City of Edinburgh: The City of Edinburgh council was the first city in the UK to rollout a city wide implementation of mobile parking payments using Itsmobile's mPARK platform. Incorporating some 200 machines, Edinburgh becomes Itsmobile's largest rollout of mobile parking payments utilizing pay and display machines.

Ormonde Cinemas: Using Itsmobile technology Ormonde Cinemas became one of the first cinemas in the world to offer real-time web & WAP cinema booking. Tickets can be booked several weeks in advance and customers can even pick their actual seats online.

TV3: Using Itsmobile IVR infrastructure, mobile phone owners can download the latest chart ringtones. In conjunction with our mobile entertainment partner Puca, Itsmobile technology allows viewers to download these ringtones as they are presented on TV3 chart shows.
