Location.
Currabinny pier lies over the Crosshaven harbour and is the only feature that can be seen from Crosshaven, to get there from Cork you join the ring road at the magic roundabout. Head for the ferry at Ringaskiddy by taking the Carrigaline exit then turn left at the next roundabout for the village of Ringaskiddy. Take the right turn opposite the deepwater quay carry on for aprox 1 1/2mls and take the left turn follow this road about 3 miles past the entrance to Currabinny woods and down the hill the pier is on the right.
Why the hell am I here.
Well just look to your right a nice tub gurnard you can also catch reds as well, along with an array of other species that include codling flounder whiting dogs Pollock and mackerel. This mark tends toward small fish but lots of them. Myself , Damn Dave and Brendan have broken a hundred fish in a session, and only a two hour session at that! All this makes it a grand place to start a youngster as long as they are well supervised (its an open pier)
