Circuit Procedures

A left circuit off RWY 25 of a right circuit of RWY 07 may result in an inadvertent penetration of the EIR15. By arrangement between Weston and the Military these circuits will only be available between for use when clearance from Military ATS, Casement Aerodrome has been obtained by Weston AFIS. Military ATS will provide notification of such clearances to Weston when Casement activity permits and notified on the AFIS. When permission is granted by the Military ATS for use of the above RWY 25/07 circuits it is based on the premise that aircraft will remain North of the railway line at all times. At all other times at Weston, circuits off runway 25 shall be right-hand and circuits off runway 07 shall be left-hand.

Arrival Route from Maynooth

Route North of Maynooth towards Leixlip at 1450ft QNH. When abeam the industrial complex, make a right turn towards the airfield to arrive overhead at 1450ft QNH. Report overhead at 1450ft QNH and join the circuit giving way to circuit traffic.

No suggested arrival route for traffic from the east is published however traffic arriving from the east who wish to position directly to the airfield below 1500ft QNH must ensure that they do not penetrate the R15 and R16 without advance clearance from the Military at Baldonnnel, or the Dublin CTA / CTR without advance clearance from ATC at Dublin.

Aircraft are requested to avoid over flying the Technology Campus and Industrial Complex located close to the field.
