The Light of the World:
A Micro Poetic Way To God

1.

Smokeless at twilight
the silhouetted chimneys
lonely in the sky

2.

Across the gardens
light in a kitchen   the lives
of people unknown

3.

A scroll unfurling
above a lamb   an image
of the love of God

4.

The body of Christ
shaped by human hands   thro' matter
to the Son of God

5.

In his mother's arms
the dead body of Christ   a scar
where the heart once beat

6.

Supine from the cross
the body taken down   Christ
having given his all

7.

The weight of the world
laid upon him   until death
opened the way to life

8.

Each mortal person
in His dying out of love
comes to be eternal
