Native to the Far East and to the Mediterranean coasts, it is an ornamental shrub with evergreen large branches. Used as hedge in our gardens. "Harlandii" variety reaches 12-13 meters in tallness.

It must be placed in front of a window not exposed to the south. It must be put outside in shade from May to September.

Water it copiously during the summer. In winter water it according to the surrounding conditions.

 

Fertilizing

In winter no fertilizer is necessary if the plant is placed in a fresh room. If it is in a warm place, fertilize every 6 weeks. From spring to summer it must be fertilized every 3 weeks.

Better if you repot from April to October, cutting the roots.

Pruning

It is possible to prune it until the end of August. After the flowering, prune the plant removing the whole twig that brought the flowers.

By mature wooden cuttings. By layers, working just on woody twigs.
