Kumquat

Coming from Japan, Kumquat is a thorny shrub having small, glittering, oval-shaped leaves and
sweet-smelling white flowers, followed by scarlet-orange fruits similar to oranges in a small scale. It is appreciated for its discrete resistance and, especially, for the delicate jam prepared using its fruits, also called Japanese mandarin.

Sunlight; keep it in a hot place, minimum temperature 4°C.

Everyday during the summer, every week in winter. Sprinkle the foliage every day.

Every two weeks during the summer. Do not fertilize during bloom time.

Every 2-3 years in spring; use base mould.

Poll the new buds while they are growing at the end of winter.

By seeds, by cuttings, by grafts.

Suitable for every style apart from Literati and Broom styles. Sizes from mini to big.
