The Warriors had a fantastic win in the Advanced League section of the world's largest Wheelchair Rugby tournament. This was our second year at this great tournament and we were hoping to improve on the sixth place placing in 2004. We got the tournament off to a great start with a win against the Outlaws from Germany by 4 goals. That was followed by a great win against the Dutch Scorpions by 3 goals. This was an unexpected win because the Scorpions were one of the pre-tournament favourites. We won our pool with a comfortable win over the Ballcrackers from Denmark.

One of the best performing teams in this league were the German side, Greifswalder Rollmoepse. They had taken some big scalps on their way to the semi-final, notibly the Swedish side Full Pull. But we had watched them play in a couple of their pool matches and we had a plan to match them in our semi-final match. A team gets great satisfaction when their pre-match plans come together on court and we eventually beat the Germans by 10 goals to take our place in the final against the second Dutch team, the Terminators. We got off to a bad start in the final and found ourselves 3 goals down in the first quarter but our superior fitness helped us to draw level at half time and then in the second half we pulled away to win by 6, 34-28.
