Easter Bonnet Parade

All partakers of the Easter Bonnet Parade are over 80 years of age and made the bonnets themselves, as it was conning up to Easter. They are joined the Blackpool Care of the Aged, Assumption Convent who assemble on Mondays and Thursdays and about 25 attend on each day.
There was a great round of applause for a very popular lady Mrs Manning with chicks and flowers

A bright light of enthusiasm is displayed by Tim Kelleher, 90 years old who paraded his bonnet to the assembled audience during their Easter bonnets on parade in the Blackpool Care for the Aged club in the Assumption Convent.

Nell, with the smallest hat in the show, Mrs. Mary Savage from Liamlara, Midleton and Glanmire who came 2nd in the Over 60's in 82 when Tony O'Connell from Cobh won, her creation was a bonnet with Ivy and daffodils with Mrs O'Leary during their Easter bonnets on parade in the Blackpool Care for the Aged club in the Assumption Convent.

Baby Hanna Quinlan, known as Baby from Great William O'Brien Street who inherited the title from her grandmother, as she was the eldest of a large family, a bit of Cork idiosyncrasy which scurvies to this day. She is wearing a straw hat decorated with carnations and a veil and completed with an attractive scarf and decorative fan during their Easter bonnets on parade in the Blackpool Care for the Aged club in the Assumption Convent.
