Parish Pilgrimage to Boyounagh:

Walk, cycle, or by car. From town side, walkers leave church at 3pm. A pilgrimage of celebration of our faith, our culture, our Christian roots, of God’s creation. In prayer, song, and reverence, please. The Mass will be at 4pm. The GAA have left this day free of games to give us an opportunity of celebrating jubilee 2000 at our local shrines, the cradles of our faith.

 

Legion of Mary

Members will recite the Rosary in each of our parish cemeteries on Sunday 28th May.
Boyounagh at 3pm; Old Cemetery at 3.40pm; and Creggs’ Road cemetery at 4.20pm approx.
Please join us in praying for our dead.

 

Creggs' Road Cemetery Maintenance

Resumed meeting re-maintenance of above cemetery will be held at the cemetery on Monday evening at 9pm. Is it right that the most used cemetery for funerals should but the worst maintained of our three cemeteries? All with plots in the cemetery please send a representative on Monday night.

Holy Hour in the Sacristy:

Every Friday from 2pm to 3pm before the Blessed Sacrament. Try and spend some time in prayer each week, even 15 minutes.

Trocaire Boxes:

A reminder to bring in your Trocaire boxes as soon as possible.

 

Rosary at Blessed Virgin Mary Shrine, Cashel Cross

Every evening during May at 8.30pm. All are welcome.

Glenamaddy Bingo:

On Wednesday night in the Community Centre at 9.00pm. £1,100 in prizes, including £500 Jackpot on 50 calls or less. If you need transport, please tell the bingo committee.

Community Clubs’ Lotto:

Numbers drawn last Wednesday were - 2, 7, 8, 16. No Jackpot winner. Five Match 3s won £10 each. Next Wednesday’s Lotto Jackpot will be £1,200, still a nice prize. Make sure you’re in.

Teachers' Inservice Days:

As the teachers of our three Primary schools will be at Inservice Courses in Castlerea on Monday 22nd / Tuesday 23rd May, our three schools will be closed on these two days.

Mellennium 2000: "Come Home to Glenamaddy":

Would each school area please meet to incite back past-pupils for the first week of august 2000?
This was an initiative proposed by Glenamaddy Development Company for Millennium 2000. A programme of events will be planned at parish level. Ideas please.

U-12 Boys Soccer meet in soccer pitch Tuesday evening at 6.30pm.
U-10 Boys and Girls football in the GAA pitch on Tuesday at 5pm.

Congratulations Nationl School Footballers:

To Glenamaddy National School footballers, who defeated Monivea N.S. on Friday by 2-7 to 2-6 in the Cumann na mBunscol competition. They have now reached the Final against Mountbellew.

Annual display and Cake Sale with tarts, plants etc. in Colaiste Seosaimh on Saturday 27th/Sunday 28th May after all Masses. Donations of cakes welcome. All donations to be handed in on Saturday evening. Your support for the Missions would be appreciated.
