Samuel Binns

BINNS, Able Seaman, SAMUEL GEORGE, P/JX 333352. H.M.S. President III. Royal Navy. (lost in S.S. Empire Mica) 29th June 1942. Age 33. Son of Arthur and Emma Binns; husband of Winifred Elsie Binns, of Hasland, Derbyshire.




Samuel left behind a wife and four children. When Samuel was killed he was living at 7 Hampton Street, Hasland in Chesterfield. Before he joined the Navy, Samuel worked at Barker Pottery.
