There seems to be a discrepancy with the birth date of James Cairns. As yet I am unable to locate a birth cert for him, but I have found his Marriage Cert and Death Cert, I also have an entry from the 1881 Census, and the 1871 Census for him, each one gives a slightly different birth year ranging from 1833 to 1843. The DOB listed above is calculated from the year of his marriage, minus 20 (his age recorded on the cert). His age at death, 61, is his age recorded on the death cert
