The Fota Island championship golf course was established in 1993 Located on a 780 acre estate - listed in “The outstanding landscapes of Ireland “. Fota was jointly designed by Christy O'Connor Junior and Peter McEvoy, who have created a course which requres imagination on the part of the golfer. Many holes require a great deal of thought in to how the hole should be played. The designers have also acheived the feet of giving the course a mature feel even though it is in its infancy. The course has recently been improved to ensure year-round golfing enjoyment.
