THE NEAT--NEAT
TAURUS
INTERSECTION
The first piece of information comes from the latest update
by Jose Chung. He spotlights the period April 21st, 2003
to May 25th, 2003 as the likely time we will cross the debris
field of Comet NEATVI which just passed by the Sun --and
which even NASA admits was struck by a solar flare.
Considering the stresses to which it was subjected,
the debris could be considerable.
The second piece of information is that we will also
likely be crossing the path of the Comet NEATQ4 around
21st April, 2003 according to orbital calculation
data you can see HERE.
Should make for a very interesting Taurus this year.
See below for details on both.

This is not a very good gift; certainly not what
you´d ask for on your birthday, but it does comprise
a birthday, of sorts. The debris trail blowing away
from V1, just after perihelion, cast a broad swath of
particles across our ecliptic. And we will cross that
field at some time between April 21st and May
25th, 2003. Most of this material is nothing more
than dust, but a significant percentage of the
matter is pea-sized; more than adequate for taking
out the network of satellites poised above our
heads. There will be other, larger, chunks as well.
The light show should be phenomenal.
