You will find this lovely pond in the grounds of Heath House. It used to be known as "the Bathing Pond". Years ago, Blakes (the family who owned Heath House until the early 1960's) washed sheep here before they were sheared. This gave you 'washed wool' which always made a few more pennies per pound than unwashed wool.
