Original Hedgerow.

Rain most of the day.

Another micromoth - Udea lutealis. This is a very common moth flying from July to early September.

This is the brown form of the Elephant Hawk Moth larva. The left hand picture shows it in its usual habit, but if it's threatened it can pull its head back, thereby inflating the bulbous part of its body. This makes it look as if it has very large eyes, presumably to scare off predators.

These are Sulphur Tuft - Hypholoma fasciculare. They always grow on wood and appear in large clusters.

Another mine on Meadowsweet - Stigmella ulmariae. These mines are characterised by their extreme length. The mine to the right of centre doubles back on itself 6 times.
