11th December

Necarne, Co. Fermanagh.

Dull with showers.

Two late fungi. Coprinus comatus - Lawyers Wig - on the left and Mycena pura on the right.

A fascinating set of lichens. The yellow specimen on the right is Xanthoria parietina. The grey/green to the left and centre is Physcia tenella, and the pink area is a parasite - Marchandiobasidium aurantiacum/Marchandiomyces aurantiacus on the Physcia. The parasite is also having a go at a specimen of Ramalina farinacea in the centre.

And this looks to be Evernia prunastri with a hint of the pink one in the background.

These two were on a concrete fence post. One is devouring the other, but I'm not sure which is which.

I think this is a Parmelia of some kind, but not sure.
