A left-over from yesterday's harvested coniferous plantation.

 

Mostly dull with showers. Bad light. And wet.

Devilsbit Scabious is one of the last flowers to appear locally, although most are gone, now. It's quite good for insects nectaring in August and September, attracting hoverflies, butterflies and bees.
