Steeple Wood.

Sub-zero all day.

This ancient Beech fell over many years ago, but is still alive.

Some seasonal icicles 'growing' under an overhanging rock.

These are fascinating images. It was sub-zero all day, but much frost had melted in the sunlight. A few shaded twigs had these areas of ice on their ends. The ice melted as I took the photographs. I wonder if they are based on some fungal material on the twigs.

This is the result of a 3-stage process. First the spider's web, then dew forming on the web and then a freeze.

A flock of Bullfinches was removing the seeds from Dock plants.
