Bright but sub-zero all day in the shade.

A solitary specimen of Common Centaury was still showing some flower buds. I don't think they'll open fully.

 

The Lesser Spearwort also flowers late into the winter. Again, a solitary specimen in the centre of a stagnant ditch.

 

This beautiful little (1 cm. cap) Mycena is a perfect example of the under-exposure required to get the image. The unadjusted exposure would have been 1/20th at f2.8. This was taken at 1/40th at f2.8.

I'm sure that upper stipe could be electronically removed.....
