Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

Cool but dry.

Gorse has started to flower again after a couple of months bare.

The liverwort Lunularia cruciata grows on walls, ditches and bare ground. Gemmae - shown in the right hand image - are splashed out by raindrops. That extra moisture ensures favourable growing conditions. Fruiting cup about 6 mm across.

This moss grows on the top of stone walls. No id, yet.

A better shot of Xylaria hypoxylon - candle snuff fungus.
