Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

Overcast and humid, with some sunny intervals.

I've been checking this Broom for numerous insects that feed on it. Nothing, yet.

One of the more distinctive colour forms of the Frog-hopper - Philaneus spumarius.

A more local specimen of Clouded Border - Lomaspilis marginata.

Two side-shots of butterflies. Meadow Brown (left) and the first Ringlet of the year- Aphantopus hyperantus.

Male (left) and female (right) Large Red Damselflies were chasing over the hedgerow plants.

And a close-up of the head of the male:

Two micromoths, 1 new and 1 new as an adult. On the left is Chrysoteuchia culmella - Garden Grass-veneer, and on the right is Timothy Tortrix - Aphelia paleana. I showed the larva of Timothy Tortrix on 10th June.

Two colour varieties of Volucella bombylans, the bumblebee-mimicking hoverfly.

And a scarce shot of the Honey Bee - Apion sp.
