Fringe of coniferous forestry.

Occasional rain showers.

This fine batch of Collybias is growing under young conifers. Maybe Collybia erythropus.

And continuing the fungal theme: Ergot - Claviceps purpurea - a potentially deadly fungus. Ergot grows on many grasses, including cereal crops and is the cause of the condition St. Anthony's Fire, characterized by mental disorientation, convulsions, muscle cramps, and dry gangrene of the extremities.

A Sawfly mine on Angelica.

The normal form of Devilsbit Scabious is shown on the left. About 1 plant in 1000 has the colour-reversed form shown on the right.

I think I missed the first crop of Yellow Rattle, so I've included this 'second push' specimen.
