A few stragglers from Ards.

Frequent heavy showers.

Polyporus varius is usually about 5 cm. across and it's hard to believe that it's a close relative of Polyporus squamosus (Dryads Saddle) that can approach 1 metre across.

Collybia confluens grows in tight clusters, with many of the stems growing from a common point.

This little frog was perfectly camouflaged amongst the fallen Beech leaves.

On the way back to the car a Common Darter - Sympetrum striolatum - dragonfly paused on a Spruce stump.
