Bog Pondweed has made plenty of new leaf growth during the winter.

 

A close-up of a Knapweed seedhead. Still intact, which means the finches haven't found it yet. Some of them still contain larvae of Picture-wing Flies (and some of those contain eggs of Ichneumonids.)

I was very surprised to find a Willow tree partly in leaf. These usually open in April. This was in an exposed position, so any frost will kill these leaves.
