Fungi from the mixed forestry.
More or less constant rain: bad light. |
This image shows a Beech leaf with a dozen or so minute fungi. Probably a Hemimycena sp. And a couple of close-ups of one of the specimens. Cap about 2 mm. across.
|
A fantastic little Mycena with bright yellow stipe and viscid cap.
|
This looks like Lacrymaria lacrymabunda - the Weeping Widow.
|
This appears to be a tiny Deceiver just emerging. Cap about 3 mm. |
A lot going on in the first picture. A red-and-yellow-stemmed Mycena with its stipe curled round the twig (you can just make out the red base part at the bottom of the picture). On close examination we can see a tiny bug on the cap. Maybe a Psocopteran - a bark bug related to book bugs. In fact, there are quite a few on the cap: |
A complete mystery. These were growing on a rotted old stem of Rosebay Willowherb. That 'pie-crust' top might help someone. Cap about 15mm, with brown spores. Just maybe a Cortinarius.
A terrible shot just to show the stipe.
