Dull and cold.

 

An excellent quiz picture. This is the seedhead of English Stonecrop.

Coltsfoot flowers are now fully open. I thought the close-up of the flower centre was worth showing.

Another thallose liverwort: Lunularia cruciata. The crescent-shaped gemmae cups are a give-away on this one. The close-up shows the gemmae cups and a spilled gemma at the top of the image. The gemmae are little bundles of cells that propagate to become new specimens. Gemmae cups about 4mm across.
