Deciduous fringe of coniferous plantation.

Mostly dull.

All jelly fungi, today. First Neobulgaria pura var foliacea on a dead Beech branch. Whole specimen about 2 cm across.

And my favourite at this time of year: Exidia recisa - Black Witches Butter.

The basic form is a vaguely cup-shaped disc with a defined edge:

The fruitbodies have a tendency to absorb water, especially in very damp locations, such as this willow branch overhanging a ditch. This causes them to inflate and become transparent.

In some individuals, this inflation produces bizarre glittering pendants.

They can create the impression of gems hanging from branches.
